IMPROVISE LIKE… KEITH FOSTER!

Improvise Like is OTIC’s new class series where we ask some of our favorite improvisers to teach the secrets of their improv philosophy and playing style that they’ve honed over years of trial and error.

About this class: You will learn and practice the concepts and techniques that fuels Keith’s hilarious and imaginative playing style. In this three week class, you’ll learn about the worst habit you can have as an improviser, how you can break it, and what it feels like when you start to play “politely aggressive.”

  • When: Sundays, February 10th - February 24th from 11 AM - 1 PM

  • Where: 2415 San Diego Avenue #103, San Diego, CA 92110

  • Who: This class is for students who have completed an improv training program (3 levels minimum) or with instructor approval.

About the instructor: Born and raised in the small town of Pocatello, Idaho, Keith Foster has been performing improv regularly since 2007. He has competed in the Chicago Improv Festival, and in 2011 won the Idaho Championship of Comedy. Keith has trained at the UCB Training Center in Los Angeles. He has performed with such teams as TCP West, Slack to the Future, and Book Club. He also produces OTIC’s alternative comedy showcase, Alt. Comoedia! and is the co-host for Tonight in San Diego.

About this class: In three weeks you will learn and practice many hilarious and fun short form games. You’ll learn the techniques behind the magic of Dr. OTIC’s Showdown show. This is an ongoing series, each course will introduce a few new games and continue perfecting games from last session.
